    Yes, we do. Call us to find out if you qualify for a sliding fee discount. We can also help you apply for other free or low cost programs. Our Health Benefits Advisors can help you apply for Medicaid and talk to you about insurance. For more information, click here.

  • +I don’t speak English or Spanish. Can you help me?

    Yes, we can. We have free interpreters in our health centers. Our interpreters communicate in 13 languages, including: Amharic, Arabic, Burmese, Chin, French, Hindi, Kirundi/Kinyarwanda, Masalit, Nepali, Sign Language, Somali, Spanish, Swahili and Tigrinya.     Yes. We do not discriminate based on race, color or national origin.

  • +I have a personal question about my health. Can I talk to someone confidentially?

    Yes. Your discussions with our medical staff are kept private. All patients have a right to privacy.

  • +Do you provide services for people who are deaf, hard of hearing or deaf-blind?

  • +I think I may be pregnant. How soon can I be seen?

    Please call us right away. It is best to start prenatal care as soon as possible. Call (443)-703-3600. We will let you know if our staff can see you. In some cases, we may refer you to another health provider. You will find more information at B’More for Healthy Babies.

  • +Do you have nurses and doctors available in my child’s school?

    Yes, we do. We provide a wide range of healthcare services. Click here for a list of schools that participate.

  • +Do you deliver prescriptions?

Pregnancy FAQs

  • +I am a few months pregnant but have not seen a doctor yet. What should I do?

    Call today to make a prenatal appointment: 410-732-8800 or click here. Early prenatal care is very important to making sure you and your baby are healthy. Baltimore Medical System has OB/Gyn services at many of our health centers.

  • +I don't have health insurance. Aren't prenatal appointments and sonograms expensive?

    There are state programs that can help pregnant women. Our health benefits advisors will be happy to help you apply. If you do not qualify for public benefits, Baltimore Medical System has a discount program for patients and works with American Radiology Services and the Johns Hopkins Laboratory for lab tests and sonograms.

  • +What about when my baby is born? How do I get insurance for my baby?

    A Baltimore Medical System Health Benefits Advisor will help you through this process.

  • +Can Baltimore Medical System help me find a doctor for my baby?

    Yes. Baltimore Medical System has pediatricians at many of our health centers. We encourage all expecting parents to select a pediatrician before their baby is born. You should schedule your baby’s first appointment before you go to the hospital to deliver.
